Founded in 2020 by co-directors Max Allen and Elliott Adcock, Allen & Adcock is a North London–based creative studio specialising in costume for stage and screen, as well as fashion, props, and theatrical design.
The studio’s diverse output blends fashion, costume, and art through rigorous research into historical, ethnological, and archival sources. With a meticulous eye for detail, their work demonstrates a deep commitment to craft, often exploring innovative approaches to surface design, embellishment, and print.
Working across a broad spectrum of scales and disciplines from large-scale mascot costumes to bespoke gowns, design consultancy and production. Their collaborators include Shakespeare’s Globe, the Garrick Theatre, Selfridges, Disney, Nike, Vogue, Jo Malone, Martine Rose, the BBC Proms, and Glastonbury Festival.
